With the Millumin plugin for After Effects and the slice-editor, it is now possible.
And with the slice-editor, you can split your content into several parts to adjust your mapping as much as possible.
Please install the plugin directly from Millumin's Preferences (Addons tab).
For older version of After Effects (CS5, CS6 or CC), you can download this older version .
